A Family Legacy Since 1949
Our History
1948 – After serving five years in the Army Air Corps during World War II, Joseph F. Kolick was discharged with the rank of Master Seargent. Later that year, using the US GI Bill (Serviceman’s Readjustment Act), he came to Cleveland, Ohio from Footedale, Pennsylvania to learn watchmaking, becoming a Certified Horologist.
1949-1956 – Joseph Kolick founded Fairview Park Jewelers in Fairview Park Shopping Center on Lorain Road in Fairview Park, Ohio.
1956-1958 – In 1956, Joseph Kolick expanded Fairview Park Jewelers and moved his jewelry store across the street to larger space.
1958-1976 – In 1958, Joseph Kolick decided once again to move the jewelry store and become one of the original occupants of Great Northern Shopping Center in North Olmsted, Ohio. With the move came a name change and Fairview Park Jewelers became Fairview Jewelers.
1976-2006 – Great Northen Mall in North Olmsted, OH was built in 1976 right next to Great Northern Shopping Center. Always a forward thinker, Joseph Kolick made the decision to move Fairview Jewelers inside Great Northern Mall in 1976. Fairview Jewelers was the first independently owned jewelry store in the mall. The jewelry store would remain at Great Northern Mall for 30 years.
1985 – After 10 years in Great Northern Mall and proud of being an independent jeweler, Donald Kolick decided to change the store name to Kolick’s Fairview Jewelers.
1990 – The decision was made by Donald Kolick for one final name change to the store – Kolick’s Jewelers, recognizing both Joseph and Donald Kolick and their jewelry legacy
2006 – Recognizing the changing needs of customers. Donald and Mary Kolick, along with their children Sarah and Kyle, built Emerald Square Shopping Plaza at the corner of Center Ridge and Crocker Roads in Westlake, Ohio where Kolick’s Jewelers still resides.

Kolick’s Jewelers has a Certified Gemologist on the premises as well as a Goldsmith who provides skillful jewelry repair. We have a staff with over 110 years of combined jewelry experience which allows us to give you the personal attention and expertise that you deserve.

Kolick’s Jewelers is conveniently located on Crocker Road (two miles south of Crocker Park) in Westlake between I-90 and I-480 with plenty of parking.
